Yet, for many, it remains surrounded by questions.The Hall of Nuclear Power brings these answers to life in an engaging, intuitive, and visitor-friendly manner. Spanning over 7,000 sq. ft., the gallery features more than 56 interactive exhibits.
The gallery offers a comprehensive look at the entire nuclear lifecycle, from uranium mining and fuel fabrication to the complex inner workings of a power plant. High-tech features like the 3D walkthrough of a nuclear power plant and the "Control Your Nuclear Power Plant", mock-up-a miniature cut-section of a Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) thatallow visitors to step into the role of a plant operator. The gallery also have a witness of first hand real nuclear fuel pellets, the energy tubes of the nuclear power plant. Beyond the mechanics, the exhibit places a profound emphasis on nuclear safety and environmental stewardship, explaining rigorous monitoring and waste management processes. In collaboration with NPCIL, this gallery serves as an easy-to-understand guide to nuclear energy production.We welcome students and citizens to discover how nuclear technology helps create a pollution-free and sustainable world.
